About us

A community institution built for the long work.

Good Deeds New Jersey advances community vitality and upward mobility by creating generational opportunity.

Who we are

Rooted here. Built to last.

Good Deeds New Jersey is a community-development organization rooted in Newark. We bring people and institutions together to strengthen families, develop leaders, coordinate resources and expand opportunity.

We respond to immediate community needs without losing sight of the systems, capacity and relationships required for long-term progress. We work with communities—not merely for them.
