A Slice of Legacy: Bean Pie Awards Dinner

About the gathering
Food carries history. Community keeps it alive.
Presented by the Muslim League of Voters and Good Deeds New Jersey, A Slice of Legacy brings together bean pie makers, families, community leaders and supporters for dinner, competition, recognition and cultural storytelling.
The program will celebrate the people who baked, distributed, taught and sustained the bean pie tradition while creating space for today’s bakers and entrepreneurs to carry it forward.

Bean pie competition
Seven official judges and sixteen People’s Choice judges will participate in a 23-judge evaluation structure.
Legacy recognition
The awards program will honor contributors whose baking, distribution and service helped carry the tradition across generations.
Dinner & community
A shared meal and structured program will create room for fellowship, cultural learning and support for participating vendors.
